Jamie Durana
Jamie is the Manager of Communications and Special Projects at the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC). As a writer and editor, she strongly believes in the power of storytelling to make an impact, both for individuals and on policy. Before joining ASTC, she developed communications materials for a nonprofit legal organization that provides legal representation to trafficking survivors. Jamie’s writing and editing work feeds her curiosity and, over the years, she has supported organizations focused on conservation, immigration, and human rights.
Jamie earned a master’s degree from University College London, where her research focused on internally displaced persons. Originally from Washington, D.C., she completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Maryland. Outside of work, you can find her hiking, taking photos, or learning a language—right now, she’s studying Spanish.
